Qudos Bank Arena Information
The Qudos Bank Arena was originally known as the Sydney Super Dome and opened it’s doors all the way back in 1999.
The venue was built as part of the facilities for the 2000 Sydney hosted Summer Olympics.
After the events had taken placed, the building went through it’s first transformation and was later called the Acer Arena in 2006 and then further along in 2011, it was renamed the Allphones Arena. Since 2016, the venue was titled Qudos Bank Arena and became the arena as we all know now.
This incredible venue has had such a unique and interesting history, when designed as the Sydney Super Dome, it was crafted into a concert like setting in it’s interior and allowed the venue to host up to an incredible 21,000 attendees seated.
This wonderful layout has encouraged the building to be able to transform for each and every event setting from sports to concerts and other entertainment events alike.
Another important factor that went into building the Sydney Super Dome was the organisation for an environmentally friendly design. All measures were made to ensure that the dome used renewable energy where possible for it’s power supply. Even energy efficient lighting and heating/cooling systems were installed into the venue and a roof drainage system to keep the venue in top condition throughout the years.
All of these attritubes have collectively defined the Qudos Bank Arena and has helped it to improve and grow into one of the most popular arenas across Sydney.
Now the Qudos Bank Arena plays hosts so some of the most epic music concerts in the entire world and is still set to bring even more exciting guests to the stage.
